Jess believes that teaching is a form of learning, and that learning shapes the artist. The Taipei Meisner Studio has become an artistic home for Jess. She invites all who enter to share and to surrender to the fleeting, ephemeral moments that unfold there.
Jess discovered her love for the performing arts at an early age—making her stage debut as Polly the parrot in a middle school production of Treasure Island. She went on to earn a B.A. in Theater Arts with a minor in Legal Studies from Brandeis University, and later worked as a freelance costume designer in the Boston area.
Now based in Taipei, Jess teaches Performing Arts and Art & Design, blending her background in theater and design to enrich her classroom practice. She recently completed two years of Meisner Technique training and earned her M.A. in Educational Theater from New York University.
